Lenovo’s briefing center fills a hole created by IBM which had a briefing center of its own in the Research Triangle Park area until it sold off its x86 server business to Lenovo. In its day, IBM inked deals with nine of ten customers that came through its briefing center, according to former IBM-ers that now work for Lenovo.
