The most critical systems that support day-to-day business processes are email, files on local drives (such as spreadsheets), and internal or network-shared drives, the study found. In health care, for example, an industry whose technology spending has been soaring, 60 percent of organizations surveyed said internal network drives are their most critical system, 12 percent higher than the entire survey base.
