Deloitte says the volume of analytics grows in 2015 to the extent businesses will require more complex strategies for parsing that data. In need is the use of artificial intelligence to help with predictive modeling of massive data pools.

To help with this challenge, Briggs said, the concept of "amplifying intelligence" (a close cousin of artificial intelligence) becomes essential. Amplifying intelligence, he said, doesn't rely 100 percent on AI, rather it is more like a hybrid that helps employees make decisions fast with the help of AI.
